Price County Government. Price County Government strives to preserve
and enhance the quality of life, the environment, and the economic
well being within the county. Located in Wisconsin’s Northwoods,
Price County is the fifth largest in land area of the State’s 72
counties. Price County is known for its spectacular natural beauty,
including vast areas of national, state and county forestland, and
18,000 acres of water. Price County is home to 15,581 people
scattered throughout the area in small cities, villages and
townships. The major industries are wood & paper products, tourism
and manufacturing. Additional industries include farming,
transportation and health care. The
Price County Courthouse and County Normal Building are located in
Phillips, the county seat, in central Price County. The departments
and department activities can be accessed through the use of this

Installment of Property Taxes Due July 31
The final installment of the 2013 real estate property taxes is due
to the Price County Treasurer on or before July 31. Please include
the Stub from the bottom of your tax bill or a Tax ID number
for all parcels to be paid, whether paying in person or by
(Current Real Estate property taxes for Towns of Catawba, Emery,
Harmony, Lake & Ogema, Village of Prentice and City of Phillips are
paid to the municipality through July 31)
If paying in person, we are located on the main floor of the
Courthouse Room 105. Our hours are 8 AM to Noon, 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM
weekdays, the treasurer’s office will be open over the noon hour
July 28 – 31. The Treasurer asks that you pay with a check,
cashier’s check or money order. Paying with cash can be quite time
consuming as each bill is examined for counterfeit.

enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Payment history can be

Property owners may pay via credit card or e-check at
Additional charges apply to this method of payment, currently
$1.25 for an e-check and 2.35% when using a credit card.
(Town of Emery, Lake, Village of
Prentice & City of Phillips also accept credit card and e-check
Any delinquent 2013 amounts will be charged 10.5% interest
Remember to claim the Lottery and Gaming Credit if you are eligible.
