Located in the Flambeau River State Forest, this is a great spot for a picnic, fishing or viewing the rugged whitewater of the South Fork of the Flambeau River. Long before arriving at the river’s edge, the roaring rapids can be heard in the distance.
But best of all is the spectacular sight of huge boulders and rushing water with the peaceful elegance of a pine forest in the background. There is a path from the parking lot to the river’s edge.
From downtown Phillips, take County Road W west about 20 miles to County Road M. There is a sign on County Road M at the parking lot.
