HIV Counseling, Testing and Referral Services

Price County Public Health has been participating in the Wisconsin Division of Health program for anonymous and name-associated confidential HIV antibody testing since 1986.  This network of counseling and testing sites provides individuals concerned about HIV risk with ready access to affordable counseling and testing services. This program provides:

  • Appropriate referrals for further medical or psychological evaluation and social support.
  • Extensive information/education focused on measures to prevent HIV infection.
  • Readily accessible counseling, testing, and referral services for individuals at risk for HIV.
  • Referral of sexual and needle sharing partners of person with HIV for prevention and education.
  • Sensitive and anonymous or confidential pre-test and post-test counseling.
