Wisconsin WIC program is making some exciting changes!
The WIC program is starting to transition from paper vouchers to using a debit card type system, which is similar to food share. Paper checks will no longer be provided; instead you will take your eWIC shopping list to the store and use your eWIC card to make your purchase. It’s as easy as swiping your card and entering a PIN number.
Price County is scheduled to start providing the card July 8th!! Each family will be issued an eWIC card. Each family/guardian will need to come to your scheduled WIC appointment to be signed the eWIC card and set the personal identification number (PIN). You will also learn how to use the card when shopping for WIC foods. Please allow more time for this visit.
