FIRST DOLLAR CREDIT

 The First Dollar Credit (FDC) is a new credit to taxpayers through Governor Doyle's budget bill Act 20 passed in 2007 effective for 2008 tax bills. The FDC will use the same equalized value school tax rate as the Lottery Credit uses. Who Qualifies

 

EVERY "Taxable Parcel" in the State of Wisconsin qualifies provided that parcel contains a Real Property Improvement. This includes businesses, commercial and private property. Personal Property does NOT qualify for this credit.

 

How To Apply
 This credit will be automatically applied to all qualifying property. If the property tax bill has an amount shown in the "Ass'd Value Improvements" box, then that property should receive the credit. Below, highlighted in yellow shows where the First Dollar Credit will be on your tax bill.
