FLUORIDE PROGRAM
The Price County Fluoride Program is provided in conjunction with the State of Wisconsin. Additional Maternal Child Health grant funding also supplements the program for the purchase of supplies and outreach activities.

The purpose of the Dietary Fluoride Supplemental Program is to decrease the disease, pain, and costs associated with dental caries by distributing fluoride supplements (tablets and drops) to children currently receiving less than optimal systemic fluoride. An application is made to the program, and then water testing for fluoride is done on the private well. If little or no fluoride is found on the test, the appropriate dosage of fluoride supplement is dispensed along with printed educational materials.
