Meeting Minutes

March 11, 2008

Palecek called meeting to order at 4:00 P.M.

Members present; Palecek, Schneider, Fojtik, Houdek

Members excused;  Rasmussen

Staff present; Hallstrand

Motion to approve minutes of February 12, 2008 meeting as presented; Schneider/Houdek, carried

Current wages for airport  positions;  position responsibilities and wages were discussed and comparisons

made to those of surrounding area airports.  Also, discussed were increase in airport revenues and declining airport tax levy.

It was noted that the Taylor County Airport assistant manager’s wages are $14.00 per hour and after one year  increases to $18.00 per hour.  Motion by Fojtik/Houdek to recommend that the airport assistant manager’s wages be adjusted from $12.41 to $15.60 hour and send request to the personnel committee for action. Carried by roll call vote Ayes: Fojtik, Houdek, Palecek.  Schneider abstained

Airport manager salaries from Taylor County, Eagle River, Wausau, Ashland and Price were compared.  Salaries

ranged from $38,494 (Price)to $61,000 (Wausau)

Motion to recommend to the personnel committee that the airport manager salary be adjusted  from $38,494 to

$47,995. Carried by roll call vote as follows: (Ayes) Fojtik, Houdek, Palecek.   Schneider abstained

Hallstrand updated committee on fuel farm funding

Next meeting set for April 8, 2008 at 4:00 P.M.

Vouchers, revenue and expenditure reports were approved by motion; Schneider/Houdek, carried

Hallstrand reported on revenue increases to date over 2007, airport hanger building interest and activity.  State annual training scheduled for April at the Price County Airport.  Motion to approve manager’s report;

Schneider/Houdek, carried
