Effective June 25, 2010 the cost to record a real estate document in a county
Register of Deeds office will be $30 regardless of the number of pages. This
is subject to change as redaction projects are completed.
Current rates are effective through June 24,

The Main function of the Register of Deeds
office is to provide the role of organizing land activities for the
County of Price. All land activities are recorded and indexed so that the history of
any given parcel of land can be retrieved when needed. History would include
all deeds, mortgages, certified survey maps, plats of sub-division,
easements, right of ways, leases, affidavits, agreements, land contracts,
writs, land corner restoration , and probate
proceedings.
The Register of deeds office also records
corporation documents, cemetery deeds, marital property agreements, military
discharge records and federal tax liens.
Recording instruments is the main function
of the Register of Deeds office but in addition to that the office handles
vital statistics; that being birth, death and marriage certificates.

Real Property Listers office which is summarized
separately.
