Industry Services and Programs

Consultant Services

• Facilitate industry involvement for implementing our shared vision for tourism in Price County
• Act as a direct line of communication to the Department of Tourism staff in Madison
• Maintain contacts with agencies related to tourism in order to support the tourism industry
• Make presentations to Chambers of Commerce and tourism organizations concerning the department program

Marketing Services

• Public Relations Services
1. PR Consulting - Department of Tourism is available for public relations and marketing advice to the tourism industry.
2. Media Kits - Media kits covering countywide travel information are developed and sent to Midwest and select national media outlets and motorcoach publications.
   Seasonal media kits focus on events and activities for spring, summer, fall, holiday and winter.
3. Media Lists - Media lists that include travel editors, free-lance writers, syndicated columnists and state radio and television outlets are developed and available to the tourism industry.
4. Internet - Continually update and promote events, attractions, recreation and lodging throughout the county on the department's Internet site, http://www.pricecountywi.net
5. School Packet - Develop a school packet for distribution to promote and educate students, teachers and parents about Price County.
6. Fall Color and Snow Report - Report the Department's fall color and snow conditions and deliver the information to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, media and general traveling public.
• Co-op Advertising

The Price County Department of Tourism is pleased to offer several co-op advertising opportunities on a yearly basis. The goal of this program is to pool the department's and individual advertisers' resources to generate a more powerful Price County travel advertising message. While Price County's advertising messages increase the awareness of the county, your message allows you to close the sale. In addition, advertisers share in frequency and volume discounts that translate into dollar savings for each participant.

• Publications Program

The Price County Department of Tourism produces a series of publications detailing Price County events, attractions and recreational facilities. The three major publications are:

1. Price County Travel Companion is a comprehensive brochure detailing attractions, activities and events available in Price County. Individual businesses are invited to be included in the guide for a fee.
2. Price County Sportsman Map is a detailed map of the Price County region. Particular attention is given to the interests of sportsmen with the inclusion of hunting and fishing statistics on the map.
3. Price County Calendar of Events is produced three times each year featuring the spring/summer, summer/fall, and fall/winter seasons. Groups or individuals wishing to have their events published free of charge are invited to submit their events for consideration.
   There are numerous special interest brochures and maps available through the office.
