Price County Zoning Committee Meeting Minutes of October 9, 2008Price County Normal Building—UWEX Conference Rooms A & B
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairperson Jim Robb. Members present were Richard Schneider, John Vlach, Richard Kelnhofer,and Jim Robb. Bob Rogalla was excused. Staffs present included: Zoning Administrator, Kevin Krause and Assistant Zoning Administrator, Amanda McMeekin. Others included: Ron Duzell, Julie Wolski, Lawrence Setterman, Doug Noetzel, William A. Brice, Leona DeRemer, Ginny Strobl, Jackie Severt, Russ Severt, George Engel, Thomas W. Krawczyk Sr., Tom Kiesgen, Rosemary Plant, Becky Birchmeier (Price Co. Health Dept.), Tracy Ellis (Price Co. Health Dept.), Neil Koshak, Jerry Setterman, Joe Durand, Barb Richter, and Tom Duffy.
Motion by Schneider/Vlach to approve minutes of the September 11, 2008 meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Kelnhofer/Vlach to approve expenditures for September 2008. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Kelnhofer/Vlach to approve the Finance Report for September 2008. All ayes. Motion carried.
Discussion and/or Action Items
Public Hearings:
Motion by Vlach/Schneider to approve the Special Exception permit filed by Erv and Vicky Weiberg for the purpose of building an entrance porch 55’ from the centerline of Bass Lake Drive S. in order to meet the 75’ shoreland setback on property located within part of Government Lot 1, Section 15, Township 40N, Range 2W, Town of Lake. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Schneider/Kelnhofer to approve the Special Exception permit filed by Kenneth Dugenske for the purpose of rebuilding his home with an addition to be 56’ from the centerline of Grant Road on property located within part of Government Lot 2, Section 8, Township 40N, Range 1W, Town of Lake (W9202 Grant Road). All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Schneider/Vlach to forward to the Price County Board of Supervisors for their consideration of the Petition for Zoning Amendment filed by Barbara Miller to rezone property from Recreational Residential District (RR-1) to Commercial District (CI-C) for the purpose of continuing the operation of a bar and grill (Miller Time Bar and Grill) on property located within part of the SE1/4 SE1/4, Section 27, Township 38N, Range 1W, Town of Flambeau with a recommendation for approval. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Kelnhofer/Schneider to postpone the Conditional Use Permit filed by Barbara J. Richter of Durand Companies for the purpose of operating a collection station for recycling on property located within part of the N1/2 of the SE1/4, Section 36, Township 39N, Range 1W, Town of Fifield (N12281 State Road 13) and have a final recommendation for a meeting to be held at 8:00 a.m. on October 21, 2008. All ayes. Motion carried.
LAND DIVISIONS
Motion by Vlach/Kelnhofer to postpone the Land division filed by Richard Biller to create two lots located in the SE ¼ SW ¼, Section 1, Township 39 North, Range 1 West, Town of Fifield. All ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Kelnhofer/Schneider to approve the Land division filed by Norbert Snow on behalf of Donald Yunk to create one lot located in the SW ¼, Section 10, Township 40 North, Range 1 East, Town of Eisenstein. All ayes. Motion carried.
MISCELANEOUS ITEMS 1. Correspondence/Public Comment. o Correspondence and public comment was documented in the Monthly Report.
2. Kevin discussed enforcement action against individuals as follows: · Charles Rolli · Joel Marheine · Donald Hilbrand · Jim McCormick · Joe France
3. Motion by Vlach/Schneider to table the Resolution from Florence County regarding the amendment to the Federal Water Pollution Control Act indefinitely. All ayes. Motion carried.
4. Motion by Kelnhofer/Vlach to conduct a public hearing on the petition filed by North American Hydro to amend the Price County Floodplain Ordinance at the November meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
5. Motion by Kelnhofer/Vlach to conduct a public hearing on the department proposed amendment to the Private Sewage Ordinance at the November meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
6. Discussion on Comprehensive Planning and motion by Kelnhofer/Schneider to postpone until the November meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
7. Staff Report (WCCA Fall Conference) o Kevin gave report.
8. The date and time of the next meeting will be November 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
