Price County Zoning Committee Meeting Minutes of October 22, 2009

Price County Normal Building—UWEX Conference Rooms A & B

 

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Jim Robb.  Members present were Richard Schneider, Richard Kelnhofer, John Vlach, and Bob Rogalla. Staff present included Zoning Administrator, Kevin Krause.

 

Motion by Schneider / Rogalla to approve the minutes of the September 10, 2009 meeting.  Motion carried.  Motion by Schneider / Rogalla to rescind original motion and to make a motion to amend the minutes regarding the Huff CUP as discussed.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by Kelnhofer / Schneider to approve the expenditures for September 2009.  Motion carried.

 

The 2009 year-to-day finance report was presented to the Zoning Committee for review. 

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

Conditional Use permit filed by Shirley Leahy for the purpose of operating a primitive/rustic RV and tent campground on property located within part of the NE1/4 SE1/4, Section 8, Township 38N, Range 1W, Town of Flambeau (Popple Hill Road).  Motion by Vlach / Schneider to postpone to conduct a site visit during the November 12th meeting.  Motion carried.

 

LAND DIVISIONS

 

Land division filed by Tim Rusch on behalf of Walter and Linda Guelig to create four (4) lots located in the NE ¼ & SE ¼ Section 11 and the NW ¼, Section 12, Township 37 North, Range 2 West.  Motion by Rogalla / Schneider to approve with conditions.  Conditions of approval:  The CSM shall be revised to adhere to DOA platting requirements prior to recording.  Motion carried.

 

Land division filed by Tim Rusch on behalf of Dennis & Mary Dettmering to create four (4) lots located in the NW ¼, Section 12, Township 37 North, Range 2 West.  Motion by Schneider / Kelnhofer to approve with conditions.  Conditions of approval:  The CSM shall be revised to adhere to DOA platting requirements prior to recording.  Motion carried.

 

Land division filed by Patrick Beil on behalf of Michael & Patricia Lee to create one (1) lot located in the SE ¼ SE ¼, Section 3, Township 39 North, Range 3 East.  Motion by Kelnhofer / Vlach to approve.  Motion carried.

 

 

MISCELANEOUS ITEMS

 

1.         Correspondence/Public Comment.  Tom Kiesgen commented on the September minutes.  Russell Seivert presented a disc with pictures of the Durand property showing violations of the CUP.

 

2.         Town of Worcester rezone.  Motion by Rogalla / Kelnhofer to forward to the Price County Board with a recommendation of approval.  Motion carried.

 

3.         Wheel Way refund.  Motion by Rogalla / Kelnhofer to approve the refund.  Motion carried.

 

4.         Martwick land division refund.  Motion by Kelnhofer / Vlach to approve the refund.  Motion carried.

 

5.         Powell Refund.  Motion by Kelnhofer / Vlach to approve the refund.  Motion carried.

 

6.         Revisions to the Price County Nonmetallic Mining Ordinance.  Motion by Kelnhofer / Rogalla to conduct a public hearing on the proposal.  Motion carried.

 

7.         Revisions to the Price County Zoning Ordinance regarding conditional use permit complaints and inspections for compliance.  No action taken.

 

8.         Department activity report.  Kevin gave a brief report of department activities.

 

9.         Established date and time of next meeting.  November 12, 2009.  Start time 8:00 a.m. at the Leeahy property on Popple Hill Road.

 

10.     Adjourn.  Motion by Kelnhofer / Vlach to adjourn at 10:45 a.m.
