AIDS/HIV COMMUNITY EDUCATION
In cooperation with the American Red Cross Price County Chapter, the Price County Health Department currently provides education to community members requesting information about HIV/AIDS prevention. The goals of this education program are to help prevent the spread of HIV infection itself as well as to the people who are infected. Accurate presentation of the facts about HIV infection, transmission, and prevention makes a significant contribution to public understanding and awareness.

Through collaboration with the Health Department, the Price County HIV/AIDS Task Force, and the Milwaukee Foundation, Wisconsin AIDS Fund, 8 individuals provide HIV/AIDS Community Education to community groups, schools, business, churches, and individuals on a volunteer basis. In addition, the Health Department collaborates with schools, the Red Cross, and the Price County HIV/AIDS Task Force to sponsor training of teen-peer educators.
