RADON TESTING
Radon is a by-product of uranium in the soil. It is estimated to cause approximately 14,000 lung cancer deaths every year in the United States. Data from Price County suggests that as many as 1 in 10 homes may have radon levels high enough to pose a significant health risk to its occupants. In these cases, steps should be take to reduce the radon levels. The Price County Public Health Department recommends that all homes in Price County be tested. The short term test kits can be purchased from Public Health Department at a cost of $6.00.  Long term kits are available for $20.00
