Wildlife Viewing

Price County is home to a variety of wildlife. There are many trails, country roads and wilderness areas which provide opportunities for you to see some of the many wildlife species native to our area.

Wildlife is more active at dusk and dawn and during the spring and fall. Please take a look at our Wildlife Viewing Areas.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources manages several State Natural Areas in Price County.

For best viewing, wait quietly and scan the clearings adjacent to wooded areas. Binoculars are helpful, especially during the spring hatching times when it is best to keep your distance.
