Important Notice
Effective June 25, 2010, the cost to record a real estate document in a county Register of Deeds Office will be $30 regardless of the number of pages.
Online ordering of real estate documents:
Documents recorded before October 1975 are not in a computer searchable index. Price County Register of Deeds office is pleased to offer copies of the original Grantor and Grantee indexes of our older records.

Department Overview
The main function of the Register of Deeds Office is to provide the role of organizing land activities for Price County. All land activities are recorded and indexed so that the history of any given parcel of land can be retrieved when needed. There are hundreds of recorded document types in the history, including, but not limited to:
• Affidavits
• Agreements
• Certified survey maps
• Deeds
• Easements
• Land contracts
• Land corner restoration
• Leases
• Mortgages
• Plats of sub-division
• Probate proceedings
• Right of ways
• Writs
Additional Duties
The Register of Deeds Office also records corporation documents, cemetery deeds, marital property agreements, military discharge records and federal tax liens. Recording instruments is the main function of the Register of Deeds Office but in addition to that the office handles vital statistics; that being birth, death and marriage certificates.
