  • During Normal Business Hours: You can pay bail or post a bond Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Price County Clerk of Court, 126 Cherry Street Room 206, Phillips. After Business Hours You can pay bail or post a bond Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and on weekends or holidays at the Price County Sheriff's Office, 164 Cherry Street, Phillips.

  • Yes, you can pay bail or post bond for an inmate incarcerated in another state by bringing the exact amount of the bail/bond in cash to the Price County Jail. Bail/Bond can also be paid online through GovPayNet.

  • All incoming mail should be free of any adhesives or additives such as address labels, stickers, glue, paint, decorations, markers, crayons, etc.
  • All incoming mail must have the sender's complete name and return address. Any mail not properly addressed will not be accepted.

  • Only letters, greeting cards, post cards and standard photographs will be accepted. All photographs must be printed on standard photo paper. Polaroids will not be accepted. Sexually explicit photographs will not be accepted.

  • Books or magazines can be sent by mail directly to the inmate in jail via an official vendor such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Nobel, Book World, Sports Illustrated, etc. Books or magazines that are hand delivered will not be accepted.

  • Visitors must be an immediate family member of the inmate unless otherwise authorized by the Sheriff. Immediate family consists of:

  • Visitors must be at least 18 years of age and need to present a photo ID.

  • Visitation is on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitation is limited to 15 minutes per person or 30 minutes for a family group. Back to back visiting days (Sunday then Wednesday or Wednesday then Sunday) with the same inmate is not allowed. Holiday visits are considered extra and do not affect the visitation rotation.

  • Inmates can request a special visitation time in writing through the Sheriff. The Sheriff will approve or deny any such requests.

  • Yes. Money received for an inmate will be deposited into an Inmate Trust Account for that inmate. Money from this account will be subject to payment for Huber fees, housing fees, booking fees, medical and dental services and any other expense incurred by the inmate while incarcerated. Inmates may use available funds to purchase items through the jail canteen and phone cards.

  • Upon release, all remaining money will go toward any inmate debt. If no debt exists, a check will be written to the inmate and mailed to the inmate's last known address.

  • We will accept cash, checks, money orders, and cashier checks written out in the inmate's name. Credit/Debit card deposits can be made through GovPayNet 24 by calling 888-277-2535 Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or online at govpaynow.com. To make an online or telephone deposit, you will need the following information:

  • Inmate's first and last name and their Resident Booking # (Prisoner CID #) which can be found on the Current Inmate List or by calling the Price County Jail at 715-339-4116.

  • Inmates with available funds may place a canteen order. Canteen orders are made on Sunday evening and entered Monday morning. Canteen orders are delivered to the Jail on Tuesday and distributed to inmates. Order and delivery times may change due to holidays. Inmates will be made aware of this in advance.

  • Inmates who have no money will be provided with basic hygiene items and writing materials.

  • The Price County Jail provides educational instruction and alcohol and drug abuse counseling. We also coordinate with local counseling agencies and the Northcentral Technical College (NTC) Phillips Campus to meet inmate needs.

  • Eligibility for inmate programs is based upon the inmate's status and classification.

  • The Jail Chaplain Program is a multi-denominational group comprised of local religious officials. Weekly ministry and on call emergency services are provided on a rotation basis to better facilitate inmate faith diversity. The Jail Library also contains religious material for faiths that may not be represented locally.

  • Medical services are provided exclusively by medical staff contracted by the Price County Jail. Inmate's may request to see the Jail nurse or doctor when needed. Inmates, or their family, are encouraged to bring their own prescription medications with them to jail. Prescription medications must be current and in their original prescription container. Prescription medication will be subject to approval by Jail medical staff. If an inmate fails to bring their prescription medication with them or a new prescription medication is required, it will be provided to them through the Jail medical staff.

  • All personal items and property an inmate arrives at the facility with are secured at the time of intake.

  • Any items of clothing needed for a Huber inmate must be pre-approved by Jail staff.

  • Inmates may release property to another person by submitting a Property Release form. The party to whom the property is released must show photo identification and sign the Property Release form to receive the property.
