Good Time

Inmate Rules & Regulations Posted on January 19, 2015

  1. Inmates sentenced to the County Jail are entitled to a reduction of sentence of one-fourth for good behavior if sentenced to at least four days. This does not apply to persons serving as a condition of probation, unless good time is specifically ordered by the sentencing judge or if the sentence is a mandatory minimum (i.e. OWI repeat offenders who are sentenced with probation). Length of jail term can be amended by the court on the recommendation of the probation officer.
  2. Inmates are not entitled to good time if serving a sentence on a Commitment Order or Child Support sentence.
  3. Violations of law or any regulation of the Jail may deprive the inmate of two days good time for each violation.
